A vMix titles alternative that works with any encoder
vMix is a capable software switcher, and its GT Title Designer produces good-looking titles. People go looking for a vMix titles alternative for three reasons: the licence tier, the workflow, or the fact that their video path is OBS and always will be.
What vMix titles give you
vMix titles are inputs inside vMix. You design them in the GT Title Designer, expose text fields, and update those fields from the vMix interface, a data source or the API. They key over your programme like any other input, and they are frame-accurate because vMix is doing the compositing.
If vMix is your switcher, this is the path of least resistance, and it is well worth using.
Why people look for an alternative
- Their switcher is OBS. vMix titles need vMix; a browser source does not care what is downstream.
